Young Greens Summer Camp this February Waitangi Weekend (6-7 February) at Jeanette Fitzsimon's farm in the Corromandel.
With the General Election all over and done with its time to take stock, celebrate our successes and great campaign and also plan for the future.
Over Waitangi Weekend 2009 young Green Party members (up to 30 years of age) from over Aotearoa are going to camp together at Jeanette's farm to plan the upcoming Young Greens year. Early in 2008, 35 Young Greens had a great time at the first camp and in 2009, we want to make it bigger with more events and more fun. We are going to cram as much as we can into two and a half days. We are going to have our Annual General Meeting and elect officials; decide on our priority campaigns; discuss how the election went; and workshops facilitated by Young Green members...and also hang out with Jeanette, watch some films, connect with nature, camp in the orchard and swim in the watering hole.
A summer weekend of good green fun!
There is no registration cost at this time (we are looking for a donor to provide food costs…know anyone?) and we are planning to coordinate car sharing vehicles.
The times will be:
* Arrive Thursday afternoon/night - 5 February
* Workshops Friday - 6 February (Waitangi Day)
* Workshops and AGM - Saturday 7 February
* Depart Sunday morning 8 February.
We hope that you can make it. Please pass on to anyone who may be interested. if you have any questions or would like a registration form (deadline January 15) contact Gareth Hughes on firstname.lastname@example.org
