We are a network of Green Party members living with disability or who are deaf. Our members include people who live with physical, sensory, specific learning, intellectual or mental health impairments.
We aim to create a supportive, safe atmosphere that allows members to feel comfortable about being able to articulate their needs or policy positions.
This information is used to identify solutions and allows us to advise the Party on how to be inclusive . We work to find ways for each of us to participate within the Party to the fullest extent possible.
We have caucuses at most Green Party conferences and communicate by a members' e-mail list.
Currently our spokesperson is Mojo Mathers, who has been deaf since birth. If you have any questions about our network or would like to discuss a particular issue related to disability then please mojo [dot] mathers [at] parliament [dot] govt [dot] nz (contact Mojo).
If you are a Green Party member living with disability then you are welcome to join our network email list. To be put on to this list please caroline [dot] glass [at] greens [dot] org [dot] nz (contact Caroline Glass).
